TINE SUREL LANGE

Tine Surel Lange (b. 1989) is a Norwegian/Danish composer and artist based in the arctic Lofoten Islands, Norway. She works with the surrounding world, both thematically and as material, and her works range from experimental chamber music to electroacoustic pieces (live electronics, soundscape composition, installation, ambisonics). She belongs to a new generation of artists and composers who work with 3D-audio, immersive and surround sounds.

Works for Listening (I–III) - sound installation (2017)

Works for Listening is a series of electroacoustic works where listening aesthetics and our psychological categorisation of sound are explored. Each piece is created by organic sound sources from everyday life - reconstructed, distorted and abstracted in different ways. With "Works for Listening", Tine wishes to create increased empathy to our surroundings through listening.
