Kristine Tjøgersen
Kristine Tjøgersen (b. 1982) is an Oslo-based composer and clarinetist. She holds a master’s degree in composition from Bruckner Universität in Linz and another in clarinet performance from Norwegian Music Academy. Her music has been performed by a.i. the Arditti Quartet, asamisimasa, BIT20, Oslo Sinfonietta, Ensemble neoN, Pinquins, El Perro Andaluz, Bruckner Orchester Linz and Mimitabu. Kristine plays in the award-winning ensembles asamisimasa and Ensemble neoN.
GLAM - for violin, cello and video (2016)
The Glam metal band Ratt's music video of their one hit wonder “Round And Round” (1984) is the background for this piece. Not Ratt’s music, but body language, gestures and visual effects in the video are used as a base for creating a whole new sound. Events that one might overlook are enlarged and highlighted for listening and consideration.
