Fracture Mechanics - for flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano, percussion, violin, viola, CELLO and stereo audio (2017)

The mechanical gestural language and somehow human and even comical askewness of broken machines was one of the compositional starting points. The work can also be interpreted as a critical comment on the so-called planned obsolescence of consumer electronics. It was a commission by Time of Music Festival and was given a premiere by Talea Ensemble.
