Bjørn Bolstad Skjelbred
Bjørn Bolstad Skjelbred (b. 1970) has a varied and broadly spectered musical background. He is active as a composer, arranger, improviser and teacher, with experience from several genres and musical environments. Skjelbred has composed more than 70 titles, where music for other arts and music for young musicians are largely present. His music has been performed in several European countries, USA and Canada in addition to the Nordic countries.
Wave-Chains (Liquid reconstruction 1) - for sinfonietta (2005)
Waves. Chained together, continuous variations in size, shape and speed, powered by the earth's surrounding gravity field. Rise and fall of the tide, changing from calm to roaring. Poetic and dangerous at the same time. Even if it´s calm on the surface, there is movement underneath. Forever in motion.
